• Support & Correspondence. Content of messages you send to us (e.g., feedback, bug reports).
• Account Details (optional). If you create an account we collect your email address and name.
• Connected Calendar Data (optional). If you link a third‑party calendar service (e.g., Google/Outlook Calendar), we request read‑only access to event metadata—such as event ID, title to display scheduling information. We do not access event descriptions or attachments.

b. Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data. Time of access, pages viewed, referrer URL, clicks, and other aggregated analytics.
• Cookie & Local Storage Data. Small data files stored on your device to remember preferences (e.g., recently used time-zones, work hours, etc.).
• OAuth Tokens. Encrypted access and refresh tokens issued by third‑party identity or calendar providers (e.g., Google) that are required to securely request data. Tokens are stored server‑side and rotated per industry best practices.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as racial or ethnic origin, health information, or geolocation.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Remember your UI settings and time-zone preferences.
• Monitor and analyze usage to improve functionality and UX.
• Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or misuse.
• Comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, and enforce our terms.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not share, transfer, or disclose Personal Information with third parties. Personal Information is never sold, used for advertising, or combined with data from unaffiliated apps for profiling.

Product usage data may be shared with third parties for analytics and debugging purposes. Usage data may also be accessed by Timezone Buddy representatives for support purposes.

• Legitimate interests — to understand how the Service is used and to secure it.

We use first-party cookies and local-storage to remember your selected time-zones and to collect anonymous analytics through privacy-focused services (e.g., Vercel Analytics). You can manage cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling cookies may affect certain features.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as your Timezone Buddy account remains active. Upon disconnection or account deletion, cached tokens and associated data are deleted within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Your Timezone Buddy account may be deleted at any time by clicking the gear icon on the homepage and tapping the “Delete account” link at the bottom of the settings menu.

Additionally, you can revoke Timezone Buddy’s access to your Google data at any time via Google’s security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Note that doing so before deleting your account will prevent Timezone Buddy from accessing your event data until you reconnect your account.

9. Security

We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—such as HTTPS, encryption in transit, and limited access controls—to protect your information. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed 100% secure; therefore, we cannot warrant absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

The Service is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and comparable safeguards where required.

11. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Receive a copy of your data in portable format.
• Opt-out of cookies or other tracking technologies that are not strictly necessary.
